The "Robotic Sunflower (solar tacker)" is an educational robotics device, of an automatic mechanism, whose function is controlled by a micro-controller, so that the solar panel will always revolve around the largest projected surfaces from the Sun or any other light source. The workshop is divided in three parts, the construction, the study of its function and the programming. All of High School students completed with success the construction and the study of its function, while on the part of the programming a demonstration took place.
The Elementary students understood how the Sunflower works, after a demonstration of the experiment with an already made device, followed by a presentation of a video demonstrating its function. Both groups showed great skills of working together, while they were extremely persistent in the parts that were difficult on them.
