Our first stop was at the first Elementary School of Raches, at the island of Ikaria. We immediately felt welcomed by all the students and their teacher; there were also two students who had visited our shelters the previous year. In the first hour we presented the interactive project/ game “The mystery of the bear cub” for the older students, while in the second hour we presented at the younger student the interactive game “Forest: a source of water and life”. The students were already very much informed on matters of the environment and the wild life. They were extremely surprised when they were informed that the animals work each day in order to preserve that the forest stays clean and healthy, for everyone, even for the humans. The students asked if we could visit them every year.
