
The program aims to inform and raise awareness among the local communities on issues related to the respect and preservation of our environmental heritage, on sustainable development. The program is carried out by the non-profit organization “Agoni Grammi Gonimi” with the sponsorship of HELLENIC PETROLEUM, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs; it has the support of the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) and takes place between January and June.
For the school year 2020-2021, recognizing the importance of the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we created an interactive educational suitcase of the 17 UN SDGs, called “EARTH 2030”. The “Earth 2030″ suitcase is an interactive educational tool that can be used in parallel with the curriculum, as the issues it deals with has
relevant topics. The main goal is to educate and raising children’s awareness of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
This year the educational suitcase of the 17 SDGs “Earth 2030″, will travel to the following 17 islands: Astypalea, Anafi, Nisyros, Tilos, Symi, Karpathos, Kythira, Chios, Ikaria, Fourni, Oinousses, Schinoussa, Donoussa, Heraklion, Lemnos, Agathonisi and Imvros.
